Essential oils for Productivity and focus
There is nothing worse than having a complete work block, particularly when they seem to happen just when you are most under pressure.
The key is to find a quick, effective form solution that can just break right through the rain fog. Essential oils are a great solution because they are ridiculously powerful but equally unobtrusive for the office.
Peppermint
The powerful scent cuts right through brain fog, invigorates the mind, promotes concentration, energises and stimulates clear thinking.
Lavender
Powerfully calming properties and can help control emotional stress. It’s soothing effect on nerves make it an excellent choice to relieve nervous tension and depression as well as treat headaches and migraines.
Jasmine
Calms nerves, uplifts, produce a feeling of confidence, optimism and revitalized energy.
Rosemary
Improves memory retention, rosemary has stimulating properties that fight physical exhaustion, headaches and mental fatigue. Can be used topically to relieve muscular aches and pains.
Lemon
Promotes concentration and calm. It’s antiviral and antibacterial properties are good to combat the inevitable break out of sore throats and colds in open work spaces and air conditioned offices.
Cinnamon
A stimulant that can help fight mental fatigue and improve concentration and focus.
Just place a drop or two of an essential oil on a cotton ball and take a whiff when you need an energy boost. If you have a private office, add 1-6 drops to an electric diffuser or create a mister by adding a few drops of essential oils to a spray bottle filled with distilled water.
