
Sanitizing / Immunity Protection In The Office
You can’t move past an elevator these days without seeing a hastily attached hand sanitizer and fresh new coronavirus poster guides.
If the contents of said drab hand sanitzers are uninspiring, it might be time to bring in your own sanitizing / immune boosting products to work.
As office spaces are open, colds and flu tend to spread like wild fire. There is no harm in having some sanitizing and immunity boosting blends close by that smell great and leave you feeling cleansed, protected and relaxed.
Coronavirus – Present Advice
The present standard advice is as follows:
Prevention
Wash your hands as often as possible to avoid contamination. Hands should be washed for at least 20 seconds.
Cover
Your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing and dispose used tissues.
Avoid
Touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
Clean
And disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Immunity strengthening blends and cleansers
The beauty of blending your own products is that it is quick and easy and you know exactly what has gone in to the blend you are using.
Below we have some fast and simple sanitizing and immunity blends all of which can be made in less than 5 minutes and all of which smell and feel great.
In the alternative, if you are not in the humour to blend we also have some well-known natural and ready-made immunity blends and cleansers set out below.
The Blends
Diffusion Blends
If you feel like your home or office is sick, best to cleanse the space with a diffuser blend.
The Home / Office Cleanser Diffusion Blend
This blend will help prevent the spread of airborne germs.
Stock Blend:
15 drops Pine essential oil
15 drops Lemon essential oil
20 drops Lavender essential oil
A 5 ml glass bottle with orifice reducer cap
Directions:
Fill the 5ml glass bottle with the three essential oils.
Add 10 drops to your diffuser.
Store in a cool dark place.
Hemlock and Saro Healthy Air Diffusion Blend
Both Hemlock and Saro cleanse and freshen the air making a working space cleaner and more pleasant to breathe in.
Single Use Blend:
5 drops hemlock essential oil
5 drops saro essential oil
Directions:
Simply drop the 10 drops of the essential oils into your diffuser.

The Open Office / Public Spaces Immunity Inhaler
Inhalers are great for discrete use as they look for all the world like a lip balm tube or expensive lipstick.
This blend is an immunity booster and will discretely help to kill airborne germs in public spaces.
7 drops Ravintsara essential oil
8 drops Pine essential oil
One blank Aromatherapy inhaler
Directions:
Add the two essential oils drop by drop directly to the blank cotton component of the Aromatherapy inhaler.
Attach the inhaler lid carefully.
Breathe into each nostril as needed.
Hand Cleansing Gel
2 oz (56 gm) organic aloe vera gel
5 drops Peppermint essential oil
9 drops Lavender essential oil
6 drops Tea Tree essential oil
2 oz (60 ml) PET plastic spray bottle
Directions:
Add the aloe vera to the spray bottle then add the essential oils. Shake to blend. Notes: Spray each hand three or four times. Rub briskly until the blend is dry. Use regularly throughout the day.
Daily Immunity Tonic Body Oil/Bath Blend
5 drops lavender essential oil
3 drops tea tree essential oil
2 drops ravintsara essential oil
2 drops eucalyptus essential oil
10 drops tamanu oil
1 ounce calendula carrier oil
Directions:
Add all the oils together and blend
Use daily as a body oil in the bath as an immunity strengthener.
Bottled Foam Soaps
These essential oils are known to combat germs however they will be softer on your skin than commercial office soaps – as everyone is now washing their hands more regularly and for longer it is important to use a powerful but skin friendly cleanser that will not cause skin irritation.
Lavender and Tea Tree Foam Soap
1.4 oz (40 ml) castile soap
1 teaspoon (5 g) aloe vera gel
8 drops lavender essential oil
8 drops tea tree essential oil
8 drops rosalina essential oil
Directions:
Pour the castile soap and aloe into the bottle, and then add the essential oils. Make the blend fresh at least once a fortnight.
Rosemary Foam Soap
1.4 oz (40 ml) castile soap
1 teaspoon (5 g) aloe vera gel
10 drops rosemary ct. camphor essential oil
7 drops thyme ct. linalool essential oil
7 drops bergamot mint essential oil
6 drops saro essential oil
Directions:
Pour the castile soap and aloe into the bottle, and then add the essential oils. Make the blend fresh at least once a fortnight.
